Villandry, the jewel of the Loire Valley gardens
Villandry is famous for its magnificent château and remarkable gardens. Built in the 16th century, the Château de Villandry is an iconic example of French Renaissance architecture. Its meticulously maintained gardens span nine hectares and are divided into several thematic sections, including the water garden, the herb garden and the vegetable garden. Each season offers a colourful spectacle, attracting botany enthusiasts and photographers. Visitors can explore the château’s elegant rooms and enjoy peaceful strolls through the gardens. Villandry is also an ideal base for discovering other châteaux in the Loire Valley.
